McDaniel Spring 2009—an international class of graduates

On May 22, 2009, McDaniel College Budapest bid farewell and good luck to its graduating class. These eight students, from seven countries around the world, are the seventh group of students to complete four years of study at the Budapest campus since the Budapest program was expanded in September, 2004.

Flags representing the students' home countries were displayed in the College' s auditorium as the graduates entered during the academic procession. The commencement program included an address to the graduates by Dr. László Frenyó, Dean of the Faculty, as well as classical musical selections by the artists of the Jobbágy Quartet. Dr. Peter Craig represented the Westminster campus of McDaniel College, and Dr. János Szirmai, professor of art history, represented College International. Estefania Luraschi was selected by her fellow graduates and addressed the College on their behalf.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held for the graduates and attended by more than 100 students, faculty, parents, and guests.
